About me

I'm Peg, happily married to Mr B for over 40 yrs, we have 2 sons and a daughter (above). I'm retired disabled, those knowing me would say mentally but it is physically, honest. I was very athletic at school and continued to play in and run a netball team until 1982 when I was going on the court with more support strappings than an Egyptian mummy so retired. I always worked in offices until just before retiring with ill health when I was working with Social Services as a home care aid.
We live in the beautiful county of Derbyshire, England. We are fortunate to live on the edge of the Peak District, when we first moved here we could see all across the moors but after further developement we have to stand in the bedroom to see them now. Even with the building we only need to drive 5 minutes up the road to be on the moors.
We are blessed with 8 grandchildren, 3 beautiful girls ageing from 19yrs, this December to 23yrs. 5
very handsome boys ageing from 15 this December to 26 and January 2015 saw our first great grand son come into our world. They grow to quickly nowadays.

Sadly we only have 3 Shih Tzu now Nemo, Livvy and Missy, I retired completely from the rescue, it is still going but I just couldn't do the work anymore.

I thoroughly enjoy quilting, knitting, crochet, I loved cross stitch but my fingers won't hold a small needle now so I am carefully considering selling my vast stash, my stash for the above crafts is rather large but as my beautiful Grandmother used to say, I don't smoke, I don't drink and I don't go out with boys apart from the hubby ;o). I have made good use of You tube videos posted by talented people to further my knowledge of quilting and crochet. Also a tutor called Elizabeth helped me tremendously when I first started quilting.

I enjoy reading other peoples blogs and seeing what they've created be it sewing, cooking or baking. I
also enjoy reading the frugal blogs I can view the beautiful gardens whilst reading of their latest crops
and what they do with them.
